It’s why I’ve drifted away from even mythic raiding in wow to play LOL, HOTS, and POE to satisfy my pvp and pve thrills individually. But it’s not for me, and so FFXIV will never be for me. I know that plenty of people want to play a game that takes little min-max and reach the maximum rewards. Then there was the complete lack of balanced healing classes or diversity within comps, and the 2.5s GCD which I find absolutely abhorrent. This community viewpoint is shared through the entire game and as such I cannot respect the game- it’s too much of a joke. Sorry, I don’t play a game to deal with people who are simply bad at gaming. The reason I hate FFXIV is that it coddles it’s players and the devs ruthlessly crush any form of “elitism”- which has a bad rep, but I’m not going to apologize for telling someone that hitting one button to deal damage is suboptimal when they could press three buttons and do 2-3x the damage. but realistically enjoyment of a game is personal, and the only objective method to rate how much a single game is liked is how many people play it within that genre.
